Welcome

The European Institute of Education and Social Policy (EIESP) is an independent education organisation with thirty years experience in analysis of education and training policies in Europe. You can download here a brief presentation of the Institute.

An education policy centre
The European Institute of Education and Social Policy is a non-profit, independent education organisation, the focus of which is education policy in a European perspective. The EIESP has built up a solid reputation as an experienced, international and innovative partner in education policy design, management, reform and evaluation at the European, national, regional and institutional levels.

There is a need for an interface between conceptual analysis, implementation and reflection, both for the EU and its agencies, and for the large consortia implementing the different types of funding programmes (donor funding as well as community initiatives). The Institute has that ability to think, analyse and act in an objective manner, combined with the dissemination capacity and therefore should continue to bridge research, policy formulation and action research, as a form of mediation between the actors in the field and the deciders.

On this site you will find a presentation of the EIESP's mission and strategy as well as of the team, the governing board and the members of the Institute. There is information about the evaluation, strategy development and dissemination activities underway or recently undertaken, with the contact details of the person responsible. Please contact us if you would like more information. We have included a brief bibliography and information on our network of partners.

Dissemination

The EIESP edits The European Journal of Education specialised in the evaluation and review of education and training policies and their dissemination. Through the journal, the Institute addresses academic and government audiences world-wide. You can find information about the journal on this site and also on the site of our publisher Wiley-Blackwell.
